Turf prototype

The most important turf traits include:

Compact growth

Fine leaves

Dense stand

Wear tolerance

Disease resistance

Color

These traits are mostly recorded by visual scoring on a scale from 1-9, where 9 equals best performance. Breeders are very precise in this assessment and years of high quality data enables us to make solid models for genomic selection.

At the moment we are genotyping a large set of breeding lines, which will form the basis of our prototype turf genomic prediction.
